And Justice for All....
Many people from other countries long for the rights that we, as United States citizens take for granted. One such privilege is the right to a fair trial. A person has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The term “justice is blind” refers to the fairness of our judicial system. Rank, race, relation, or religion play no part in determining ones guilt or innocence. This painting depicts hands reaching forth from the sea of life and grasping for this right of justice for all. Citizens are called upon to be a part of this judicial system in the form of a jury summons. When you are called, serve. It is your way of helping make the system work.
